This High Density Urethane Outdoor Windon Finial is specially formulated to not warp, peel, or crack and is 100% waterproof unlike wood. This product will last outdoors for more than 10+ years, but if treated and painted will last a lot longer than 10+ years. HDU can with stand temperatures ranging from -30 degrees to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Used in a variety of different projects this material has a fine surface structure and lends itself to both manual and mechanical processing and is versatile, cost effective, does not decompose, rot, or crack like wood does. Since it works as a wood replacement it is environmentally friendly.
-Type of paint: you can use any type of paint – water based, oil based, and even lacquer-based paints will adhere well. Suggested paint is Matthew's paint over a acrylic lacquer primer.
